This lesson was written by me, Jille, on April 1st, 2010 in the Dutch version of PSP X3. The lesson can be made in other versions as well.
I followed my own ideas, any connection with an existing lesson is a coincidence.
second example - Tube Nightangel

Filters
Eye Candy 4000

Credits and Material:
- Filmstrip-I found it on the internet
- An Image- and
- A misted tube based on it
- Tube - DBK AA Model-D165.pspimage
- Tube - DBK AA Model-D164.pspimage
- Images from animals found with BING -you need 7 of them (150/113 px)

Preparation
Install the Filter
Extract the textures in your map with Textures
Install the Font or minimize
Open PSP
Tubes and Images in a map of your choice or open in the program and minimize
.
Material
I took #a60b01as foreground color and #fef205 for the background

Change foreground color into Foreground - Background gradient with these settings

The lesson

NOTA: My images are 150/113 px - resize yours if you take different ones

  1. File - New - New image - transparent checked - 900/600 pixels
  2. Flood Fill Tool - Fill with the gradient
  3. Effects - Texture Effects - Texture
  4. Layers - Duplicate
  5. Effects - Texture Effects - Texture (Corel 15-039)

    Result

  6. Layers - New Raster Layer
  7. Open de misted tube Afrika
  8. Edit - Copy - Close the tube
  9. On your working area - Edit - Paste into Selection
  10. With the Move Tool - Drag a little lower
  11. Layer Palette - decrease opacity to 26
  12. Selection Tool -Custom Selection with these values
  13. Flood Fill Tool - Fill the layer with black
  14. Layers - New Raster Layer
    Selection Tool -Custom Selection with these values

  15. Open the filmstrip
  16. Edit - Copy - close the tube
  17. On your working area - Edit - Paste into Selection
  18. Open the image Zebra's
  19. Edit - Copy - close the image
  20. On your working area - Activate the Magic Wand Tool with these settings (Mode Replace)

    With this mode you do not have to deselect after each image
  21. Click in the left empty area of the filmstrip
  22. Edit - Paste into Selection
  23. Open the photo Giraffen
  24. Edit - Copy - close the image
  25. On your working area- Activate Magic Wand Tool and click in the right empty space of the filmstrip
  26. Edit - Paste into Selection
  27. Follow the same procedure for all other images.

  28. After the last one - Selections - Select None
    Layers - Merge - Merge down
    The filmstrip and the black area behind are now on the same layer

    Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
  29. Effects - Plugins - Eye Candy 4000 - Motion Trail

    Result

  30. Open the tube DBK AA Model-D165 - make tube layer active

    Duplicate with shift D on your keyboard, close original and continue with the copy
  31. Image - Resize - Smart Size - 50%
  32. Image - Resize - Smart Size - 70%
  33. Edit - Copy -close the tube
  34. On your working area - Edit - Paste as New Layer
  35. With the Move Tool -Move to the left and down
  36. Layers - Duplicate
  37. With the Move Tool - place like this
  38. Layers - Merge - Merge down
  39. Layer Palette -Opacity = 56
  40. Open the tube DBK AA Model-D164 -make tube layer active
  41. Edit - Copy and close
  42. On your working area - Edit - Paste as New Layer
  43. Image - Resize - Smart Size - 63%
  44. With the Move Tool - Move to the right bottom corner
  45. Layers - Duplicate
  46. Make original tube layer active
    Effects - Plugins - Eye Candy 4000 - Motion trail - same settings as used before
  47. Layer Palette - decrease opacity to 55

  48. Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten)
  49. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 2 pixels black
  50. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 40 pixels any other color
  51. Magic Wand Tool - Same settings - select this border
  52. Flood Fill Tool - fill with the gradient
  53. Effects - Texture effects- Fur (same settings as used before)
  54. Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout
  55. and repeat cutout with vertical en horizontal = -5
  56. Selections - Select None
  57. Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten)
  58. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 2 pixels black
  59. Layers - New Raster Layer
  60. Activate Text Tool

    kerning = 100
  61. Write Afrika
  62. Click Apply or the checkmark (PSP X3)
  63. Open image2
  64. Edit - Copy and close
  65. On your working area - Edit - Paste into Selection
    Selections - Select None
  66. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow

  67. Layers - Duplicate
  68. Activate original text layer
  69. Effects - Distortion Effects- Wind - from left
  70. Layers - Merge - Merge Down
  71. With the Move Tool - arrange as follows
  72. Add your watermark
  73. Layers - Merge - Merge All (Flatten)
  74. Adjust - One step Photo correction
  75. Image - Resize (or smaller if that suits you better)
  76. File - Save As- Give_a_name.jpg
