Aristocats

This lesson was written by Jille on August 11, 2014 in the Dutch version of PSP X5.
The lesson can be made in lower versions.
I followed my own inspiration, any resemblance to an existing lesson is based on coincidence

Preparation
Place the texture in your PSP textures folder
Open all other materials in your PSP program
Foreground color = #f1ba4e and background color = #c65b39

Tutorial
  1. Open file: alpha_aristocats.pspimage.
  2. Window - Duplicate. Close the original and continue with the copy.
  3. Flood fill tool - fill the layer with the background color
  4. Effects - Texture effects - Texture and choose @nn_120410_TXT_003_tdstudio
  5. Layers - New raster layer
  6. Flood fill tool - fill this layer with the foreground color
  7. Effects - Texture effects - Texture same setting
  8. Layers - New mask layer - From image and choose @nn_090512_mask_tdstudio.jpg
  9. Layers - Merge - Merge group
  10. Adjust - One click photo fix
    Result
  11. Layers - new raster layer
  12. Selection Tool - Custom selection
  13. Edit - Copy special - Copy merged
  14. Edit - paste into selection
  15. Layer pallet - Blend mode = Burn
  16. Open artpaw.com.pspimage
  17. Edit - Copy and close
  18. On your own work - Layers - New raster layer
  19. Edit - paste into selection
  20. Selections - Select all
  21. Layer pallet: blend mode = Screen
  22. Pen tool with these settings (line style = arrowhead start)
    Draw a line as shown in the example below


  23. Layer pallet - convert to raster layer
  24. Layers - Duplicate
  25. Image - Flip
  26. Image - Mirror
  27. Move tool - move further down see example above
  28. Materials - close the background color

  29. Open Image_1.jpg. Edit - Copy and close
  30. Open Photoframe_Jille.pspimage
  31. Magic wand tool - Tolerance and feather = 0
    click in the middle of the frame
  32. Selections - Modify - Expand with 1 pixel
  33. Make 2 copies of this picture frame (Window - Duplicate) and put aside for a moment
  34. On the first of your three picture frames:
    Edit - Copy and paste into selection (Image_1 was loaded into the memory of your PC see point 27)
  35. Selections - Deselect all
  36. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen
  37. Open your first copy of the picture frame and repeat these steps for Image_2
  38. Open the second copy of the picture frame and repeat the same steps for image_3
    So now you have these 3 frames

  39. On your large image (900/600):
    Layers - New raster layer
  40. Load/save selections - load selections from the alpha channel and select selection 1
  41. Make first image active
  42. Edit - Copy and close
  43. On your own work - Edit - Paste into selection
  44. Layers - New raster layer
  45. Load/save selections - load selections from the alpha channel and select selection 2
  46. Make second image active
  47. Edit - Copy and close
  48. On your own work - Edit - Paste into selection
  49. Layers - New raster layer
  50. Load/save selections - load selections from the alpha channel and select selection 3
  51. Make your last image with frame active
  52. Edit - Copy and close
  53. On your own work - Edit - Paste into selection
  54. Selections - Deselect all
    Result
  55. Open Text_aristocats
  56. Edit - Copy and close
  57. At your own work: Edit - paste as new layer
  58. Move tool - Slide up a bit
  59. Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow

    Result
  60. Material: Foreground color = closed, - background color = black
  61. Text tool with these settings

    Write this text
    Cats are intended to teach us
    that not everything in nature has a purpose
  62. Click "Apply" in the main menu
  63. Layer pallet - Convert to raster layer
  64. Move tool - place at bottom left
  65. Materials - same as we started
  66. Image - add borders - symmetric checked - 1 pixel foreground color
  67. Image - add borders - symmetric ticked - 1 pixel background color
  68. Image - add borders - symmetric checked - 1 pixel foreground color
  69. Image - add borders - symmetric checked - 10 pixels background color
  70. Image - add borders - symmetric checked - 1 pixel foreground color
  71. Image - add borders - symmetric checked - 1 pixel background color
  72. Image - add borders - symmetric checked - 1 pixel foreground color
  73. Image - add borders - symmetric checked - 1 pixel black
  74. Add your watermark and save your work as jpg
