Filters
Penta.com – Color Dots

Preparation

Install your filter into your filter map
Extract the selections into your selection map
Open your program
Open tubes and masks in your program and minimize

Material Palette
I took a light color for the foreground (#c6bbab) and a darker one for the background (#3d362f )

Change the material from the foreground into a linear Foreground-Background gradient with these settings

The lesson

Step 1

Open the image JHanna_180 background
Edit – Copy
You may close the background

Step 2
File – New – New Image – transparent checked

Selections – Select All
Edit – Paste into Selection
Selections – Select None

Step 3
Layers – New Raster Layer
Flood Fill Tool – flood fill this layer with the foreground gradient

Step 4
The mask verocreation is minimized on your workspace, your working area is active
Layers– New Mask Layer – From Image – choose masker_Vérocréation

You may close the mask

Step 5
On your working area
Layer palette – Merge – Merge Group
Effects – Edge Effects – Enhance
This is the result

Step 6
Layers – New Raster Layer
Selections – Custom Selection with these values

Flood Fill Tool – flood fill the selection with the gradient
Blur – Gaussian Blur – Radius 50

Step 7
Your mask Verocreations2 is minimized on the workspace of your program
Your working area is active
Layers– New Mask Layer – From Image – choose masker_Vérocréation2

You may close the mask

Step 8
On your working area
Layer palette – Merge – Merge Group
Effects – Edge Effects – Enhance More
Effects - 3D Effects – Drop Shadow with these settings

Repeat Drop Shadow with Horiz. And Vertical on -5
Selections – Select None
This is the result

Step 9
Maximize the tube jhanna_264 misted tube
The background layer has to be active
Edit – Copy
You may minimize the tube again

Step 10
On your working area
Layers - New Raster Layer
Selections – Load/Save Selection from Disk – Load Selection from Disk – Choose Fantasy

Edit Paste into Selection
Layer Palette – Blend Mode = Luminance (L)
Effects – Plugins – Penta.com – Color Dots with these settings

Step 11
Maximize the tube jhanna_264 misted tube again
The tube layer has to be active
Edit – Copy
You may minimize the tube again

Step 12
Layers – New Raster Layer
Image– Rotate Right
Edit – Paste into Selection
Selections – Select None
Image - Rotate Left
This is your result

Step 13
Layers – New Raster Layer
Selections – Load/Save Selection from Disk – Load Selection from Disk – Choose Fantasy1

Edit – Paste into Selection
Layer Palette – Rename this layer – I called it Tubes

Step 14
Selections – Load/Save Selection from Disk – Load Selection from Disk – Choose Fantasy2
Same settings
Layer Palette – Promote Selection to layer – Opacity of this layer = 40
Effects – Plugins – Penta.com – Color Dots with the same settings
Selections - Select None
(The result will show later)

Step 15
Highlight layer “Tubes”
Selections – Load/Save Selection from Disk – Load Selection from Disk – Choose Fantasy3
Same settings
Layer Palette – Promote Selection to layer – Blend Mode = Hard Light
Selections - Select None
You may close or delete the layer Tubes
This is your result

Step 16
Your top layer is active
Material - Foreground color = white
With the Pen Tool and these settings

Draw a line see example

Click on the checkmark in the top menu to end

Layer Palette: Convert to Raster Layer
Blend mode = Hard Light – Opacity 57
This is the result

Step 17
Close your background layer
Make any other layer active
Layers – Merge – Merge visible
Open the background layer again and make it active

Step 18
Selections – Custom Selections with these settings

Layer Palette - Promote Selection to Layer
Effects – 3D Effects – Drop Shadow

Repeat with Vertical and Horizontal.= -5

Step 19
Selections - Invert
Maximize the tube jhanna_264 misted tube
Highlight the background layer
Edit – Copy
You may close this tube

Step 20

On your working area
Edit – Paste into Selection
Effects – Plugins – Penta.com – Color Dot same settings
Selections – Select None

Step 21
Add your watermark
Layers – Merge – Merge All (Flatten)
Image – Add Borders – Symmetric checked
2 pixels white color
Save as give-it-a-name-jpg

So we are done
