- Preparation
Foreground color = BLACK and background color = WHITE
Attention: these colors are obligated. I will tell you at what point in the lesson you can give your own color accent. Using different colors from the beginning assumes that you have a very good knowledge of the program
- You may prepare the gradient we will use
Change foreground color into Foreground-background gradient, with following settings.

This is how we start the lesson

Read the lesson carefully and pay attention to the following advise.
PSP X2 users: A problem that did not occur in previous version needs your attention in PSP12. Merging a layer down gives a different result compared by merging two layers visibly. The difference between the two operations is visible when the two layers concerned have each a different opacity and/or a different blend mode. The print screen below shows you this difference. So to work correctly merge your layers visibly
First print screen: layer merged down, 2d print screen layers merged visibly. You see the difference!
