  Install your filters.

• Preparation
  Put your foreground color on a light color, I took #6f95b4, and the background color on a darker one such as #222939
  (If you choose other colors , take compatible colors with little contrast)
  
  Switch foreground color to gradient:

• The lesson

1. We start with the background made for this lesson. Open background:
   @nn_060309_BG_Matisse_tdstudio.jpg
   
2. Window - duplicate, close the original and continue with the copy
3. Layers - new raster layer
4. Activate the selection tool - custom selection with settings shown below
   copy these values:
   
5. Flood fill with the gradient
6. Selections – deselect all
7. Effects - distortion effects – displacement map with settings shown below:
   Choose tin foil (corel_15_047.bmp)
   
8. Effects - 3D effects - drop shadow  with settings shown below
   
   
   This is your result:
   
9. Layers - new raster layer
10. Again selection tool: custom selection but change the values as follows:
    
    
    This is your result::
    
11. Flood fill with the dark background color (click the right button of your mouse)
12. Selections - deselect all
13. Activate the layer palette, opacity: 100%, blend mode: soft light:
    
14. Layers - merge – merge visibly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
15. Effects - distortion effects - warp with settings shown below:

17. Selection – load/save selection – load selection from disk and choose:

    Edit - copy
19. Activate  your working area
    Edit - paste into selection (selection stays active)
20. Activate the layer palette, opacity: 75%, blend mode normal:

22. Activate the text file: @nn_060309_tekst_Matisse.pspimage
    Edit - copy
23. Activate your working area
    Edit - paste into selection
24. Activate the layer palette, opacity: 45, blend mode: normal:

25. Selections - deselect all
26. Adjust - sharpen - sharpen

    Edit - copy
28. Activate your working area
    Edit - paste as a new layer
29. Effects - image effects - offset with settings shown below:
    
30. Effects - plug-in - EC 5: Impact - perspective shadow on tab SETTINGS choose my preset:

33. Activate the layer palette and decrease the opacity with 60%
    
34. Pay attention to the following steps
    Window duplicate and minimize
    Continue with the original
    
35. Activate the tube: @nn_060309_photos_Matisse_tdstudio.pspimage
    Edit - copy
36. Activate your working area
    Edit - paste as a new layer
37. Move a little see print screen:
    
38. Effects - plug-in EC 5: impact - perspective shadow choose my preset:
    
39. Activate the file: @nn_070309_accent_haken_matisse_tdstudio.pspimage
    Edit - copy

    Edit - paste as a new layer

43. Again: move a little:
    
44. Layers - merge – merge all layers
45. Image – resize with following settings:
    
46. Image –add borders 1px color WHITE:
    
47. This little frame, edit - copy
48. Activate your minimized working area:
    
49. Edit - paste as a new layer

50. Image – rotate free:
    
51. Layers - duplicate
52. Effects - distortion effects - wind with settings shown below:
    
53. Layers – merge -  merge down !!!!!!!!

54. Image – free rotate, rotate to the right this time:

    Edit - copy
70. Activate your working area
    Edit - paste as a new layer
71. Effects - plug-in - EC5: impact - persp. shadow tab SETTINGS and select:
    
72. With the move tool, move as follows:
    
73. Activate the tube: @nn_060309_photos_Matisse_tdstudio.pspimage
    Edit - copy
74. Activate your working area
    Edit - paste as a new layer
75. move again see print screen:
    
76. Effects - plug-in - EC5: Impact - perspective shadow and select:
    
77. Window - duplicate --> (copy necessary to make our background)
78. continue with the original
79. Layers - merge – merge all layers
80. Effects - Richard Rosenman - Solid border:
    Color: White
    
    
81. Activate the copy you made for the background
82. Delete (or make invisible) following layers: vrouwtube (tube with the lady), hakentube (tube with the hooks), 2 frames and the text "Matisse"
    You should have this result:
    
83. Layers – merge – merge all layers
84. Effects - image effects – seamless tiling:
    
85. Layers - duplicate
86. Adjust - blur – Gaussian blur: radius: 12
87. Layer palette: opacity: 50%
    
88. merge all layers and save both your images as JPG
