Preparetions

Foreground color = white , Background color = black, change material of the foreground into gradient and select my gradient @nn_120410_GR_029_tdstudio:

  1. Tip: Feel free to change the opacity and blend mode from the layers if you use material of your own choice. Use colors that match well and if necessary use the program ColorShemer , to help you choose .

The lesson:

  1. File - New image :
    Choose the gradient:

  2. Effects - Plugins - 2Manekenai (tm) - Mezzoforce-ice:
    and choose preset: waved ice

  3. Replace gradient with white :

  4. Layers - new raster layer
  5. Flood fill with white
  6. Layers - new mask layer - from Image and choose my mask:

  7. Layers - Merge - Merge group
  8. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop shadow with these settings:

  9. Activate layer palette and lower the opacity into 60%, blend mode: Soft light:

  10. Change foreground color into gradient again
  11. Layers - new raster layer and flood fill with the gradient
  12. Layers - new mask layer - from Image and select my mask:

  14. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen
  15. Activate layer palette, opacity = 80%, blend mode: dodge:

  7. Effects - Image Effects - Seamless tiling:

  10. Edit - Paste as a new layer on your working area
  11. Move a little to the right :
