Borderline
This lesson was written by me, Jille, on March 28, 2010 in the Dutch version of PSPX3. The lesson can be made in other versions as well.
I followed my own ideas, any connection with an existing lesson is a coincidence.

Preparation
Put Filters in Filter map
Put Selections into the map with Selections
Place texture into the map with textures
Place mask in the map with masks
Install or minimize the font I used
Open PSP
Open the tubes in your program and minimize or put into a map of your choice
.
Material
I choose two colors from the tube: the darkest
#00306d for the foreground and a lighter one #
005a90 for the background
The lesson
- Open tube
k@rine_ dreams _Pretty_Blue_974_MARS 2010, activate the tube layer
- Make 2 copies with shift D on your keyboard - Close the original tube
- On the first copie: Layers - Merge - Merge All (Flatten)
- Image - Resize - 300 pixels height - Smart Size- Resize all layers checked
- Effects - Plugins - AAA Frames - Framework
Result
- I will refer to this image as Frame - minimize it for a while
- File - New - New Image-transparent checked - 800/600 pixels
- Effects - Plugins - Mura's Meister - Cloud
- Activate the second copy that you made at the beginning of this lesson
- Edit - Copy and close

On your working area -Edit - Paste as new Layer
Do not resize this tube
- Move Tool - Move to the right - shoulder against the border
- Layer palette - Decrease opacity to 30 and blend mode to Soft Light
- Layers - Duplicate
- Image - Mirror
Result
- Pay attention, do not forget - make a copy with shift D and minimize for a few steps
- On our working area - Layers - Merge - Merge All (Flatten)
- Layers - Duplicate
- Layers– Load/Save Mask – Load Mask from Disk and load Adidasmask7
- Layers - Merge - Merge Group
- Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
- Effects - Edge Effects- Enhance
- Layers - New Raster layer
- Material palette - foreground color =
#00BF00
- Selection Tool - Custom Selection - with these values
- Flood Fill Tool - fill with the green foreground color
- Selections - Select None
- Layers - Duplicate
- Effects - Image Effects - Offset (506 - 0)
- Activate the image that you minimized at step 16
- Layer palette - Change the blend mode from both tube layers into Hard light
- Selections - Load/Save Selection- Load Selection from Disk and choose borderline
- Image - Crop to selection
- Edit - Copy Special - Copy merged
you may close this image
- On your working area -Load same selection
- Layers - new Raste rlayer
- Layer palette -opacity between 65and 70
- selections - Seelct None
- Layers - New Raster layer
- Selection Tool - Custom Selection
- Flood fill Tool - fill selection with foreground color
- Selections - Modify - Contract with 2 pixels
- Push delete on your keyboard
- Selections - Modify - Contract with 2 pixels
- Flood fill Tool - fill selection with foreground color
- Selections - Modify - Contract with 2 pixels
- Push delete on your keyboard
- Selections - Modify - Contract with 2 pixels
- Flood fill Tool - fill selection with background color
- Selections - Select None
- Effects - Plugins - Flaming Pear Transline
- Selections - Load/Save Selection- Load Selection from Disk and choose borderline_2
- Activate the tube k@rine_ dreams _flowers_494_mai09.pspimage
- Make a copy with shift D on your keyboard. Close the original and proceed with the copy
Activate the tube layer
- Image - Mirror
- Edit - Copy and close
- On your working area - Edit - Paste as a New Layer
- Move Tool - Move the flower under the selection
- Selections - Invert
- Delete on your keyboard
- Layers - Duplicate
- Image - Resize - 70% -Smart Size- Resize all layers not checked
- Move Tool - Place as follows
- Delete on the keyboard
- Selections - Select None
- Layers - Merge - Merge Down
- Layer palette -Opacity 63 and blend mode Hard Light
- Activate the Frame we made at point 6
- Edit - Copy and close
- On your working area - Edit - Paste as New Layer
- Effects - Image Effects - Offset
- Layers - Duplicate
- Image - Mirror
- Move Tool - place as follows
The material palette still looks like this
- Activate text tool
Write Borderline - clic Apply (or the check mark in the top menu if you work witht PSP X3)
- Layer palette -Convert to raster layer
- Move Tool - move text see print screen
- Effects - Texture Effects- Texture

- Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
- Layers - Duplicate
- Move Tool - move see print screen

- Activate text tool again - other size and other kerning
WriteBorderline
- Move if necessary
- Layer palette - Convert to raster layer
- Repeat - Effects - Texture Effects- Texture
- Repeat - Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
Result
- Layer palette - Activate bottom layer
- Edit - Copy
- Layers - Merge - Merge All (Flatten)
- Image - Add Borders- symmetric checked- 3 pixels green color
#00bf00
- Selections - Select All
- Image - Add Borders- symmetric checked- 25 pixels other color
- Selecties -Invert
- Edit - Paste into Selection
- Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout
- and repeat with vertical and horizontal = -5
- Selections - Select None
- Image - Add Borders- symmetric checked- 1 pixel black
- Put watermark or write a short text as I did, using the green color

- Image - resize - to your choice
- File - Save As- Give_a_Name.jpg
