Fleurs Sauvages

This lesson was written by Jille in the Dutch version from PSP3 on March, the 1st, 2010. I followed my own ideas, any ressemblance with an existing lesson is merely a coincidence. This lesson can be made in others versions as well

Preparation
Install the Filters in your map
Minimize the font or install on C drive
Open PSP
Open the tubes in the program and minimize
Open the masks in the program and minimize
Material
Pick a dark color( #55475E ) for the foreground and a lighter one (#DDD5E) for the background

Change the foreground material into a Foreground-background gradient with these settings

In this lesson we will also use the purple color #2f064e

The lesson

  1. File - New - New Image - transparent checked
  2. Flood fill Tool - fill your image with the gradient
  3. Layers - New Raster layer
  4. Flood fill with the background color
  5. The mask fyzebr has to be on the workspace of the program, but your own work is active
  6. Layers - New Mask layer- from Image
  7. You may close this mask
  8. On your working area -Layers - Merge - Merge Group
  9. Layer Palette - Click with the right mouse button - Rename and give the name Masker1 (mask1 in English)
  10. Effects- Edge Effects- Enhance
  11. Activate the bottom layer- Effects - Distortion Effects- Pixelation
  12. Effects- Edge Effects- Enhance
  13. Activate the top layer again (Masker1)
  14. Layers - New Rasterlayer
  15. Flood fill Tool - fill your layer with the gradient
  16. Image - Mirror
  17. Layers - New Raster layer
  18. Flood fill with the background color
  19. The mask Crossmsk_LH has to be on the workspace of the program, but your own work is active
  20. Layers - New Mask layer- from Image
  21. You may close this mask
  22. On your working area -Layers - Merge - Merge Group
  23. Layer Palette - Click with the right mouse button - Rename and give the name Masker2 (mask2 in English)
  24. Effects- Edge Effects- Enhance
  25. Layer Palette - Activate layer Masker1
  26. Layer Palette - Arrange - bring to top
  27. Layers - Duplicate
  28. Layer Palette - Change the blend mode from the layers as follows ( burn - burn -overlay - soft light - normal)

    This is the result
  29. Windowr - Duplicate (or Shift D on your keyboard)
  30. Minimize the copy and proceed with the original
  31. Open the tube kts_bki162.pspimage
  32. Make a copy with Shift-D and close the original
  33. Image - Resize- 600 pixels height (smart size)
  34. Edit - Copy
  35. Close the tube
  36. On your working area (the original) - Edit - Paste as New Layer
  37. Move Tool -move a little to the right
  38. Layers duplicate
  39. Image - mirror -Opacity = 26
  40. Move Tool - move a little to the left
  41. Layers - Arrange - Move down
  42. Activate the top layer-opacity 96
    This is the result
  43. layers - Merge - Merge all layers (Flatten)
  44. Material palette -change the gradient into solid color #2F064E
  45. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 2 pixels Foreground color
  46. Image - Resize 70% Smart size
  47. Effects- Plugins - AAA Frames - FotoFrame
  48. Edit - Copy - you may close this image
  49. Activate the copy that you minimized on item 29
  50. Edit - Paste as New Layer
  51. Layers - Duplicate
  52. Effects- Image Effects- Seamless tiling
  53. Layer Palette - With your left mouse button pressed - drag this layer beneath layer Masker2
  54. Layer Palette - blend mode = Multiply and opacity 36
  55. Activate Raster 2 - Change blend mode in burn and opacity in 30
    Your Layer Palette looks like this (translation from Dutch: Raster 3 multiply opacity = 36; Raster 2 burn opacity = 30)

  56. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow- color = foreground color
  57. Repeat with horiz en vertical values = -10 and -30
  58. Preparation for text- Material background -change solid color to gradient (Foregr - Backgr gradient)
  59. Font Ballet
  60. With the Pen Tool - write a text I wrote Fleurs Sauvages (wild flowers)
  61. Click Apply or in PSP13 click the check mark in the top menu
  62. Objects - Align - Horiz center on canvas
  63. Layers - convert to raster layer
  64. Effects - 3D Effects- Drop Shadow
  65. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 5 pixels Foreground color
  66. Selections - Select All- Selections - Modify - Contract 5
  67. Effects- 3D effects - Cutout
  68. Selections - Deselect
  69. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 20 pixels Foreground color
  70. Selections - Select All- Selections - Modify - Contract 20
  71. Selections - Invert
  72. Effects- Texture Effects -Blinds
  73. Selections - Deselect
  74. Open the tube DBK AA Model-D131
  75. Activate the tube layer
  76. Edit - Copy - Close the tube
  77. On your work - Edit - Paste as New Layer
  78. Image - resize 65% - Smart Size- Resize all layers - not checked
  79. Edit - Repeat Resize - same settings but only 87%
  80. Move tool - Move to the left
  81. Add your watermark
  82. Image - Resize (smart size) 800 pixels width
    Or smaller if that suits you better
  83. File - Save as - give_a_name.jpg
