- Effects - Edge Effects - Enhance
- Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
- Layers - Duplicate
- Image - mirror
- Layers - Merge- Merge down

- Selections - Modify - contract with 1 pixel
- Flood fill tool - fill with the gradient

- Layer palette- Convert to raster layer
