Preparation
Install the filters
Extract textures into the map Textures
Extract the masks into the map Masks
Open the program
Open the tubes in your program and minimize

Material
I choose white for the foreground and and black for the background
We will use following colors as well

If you use different colors or material , feel free to change the opacity and/or the blend mode from the layers

The lesson

  1. File - New - New Image and choose white
  2. Layers - New Raster layer
  3. Flood fill tool - fill with black
  4. Layers - Load/save mask - Load mask from disk and choose
  5. Layers - Merge - Merge group
    Layer palette - Rename - call this layer "Maskers" - we will return often to this layer to make our selections
  6. Material - change background color into= #7b1056
    Material foreground - Prepare a foreground - background gradient with these settings
  7. Magic Wand tool - Tolerance and feather = 0
    Click in the 3 rectangles to select
  8. LAYERS - NEW RASTER LAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Flood fill tool - fill rectangles with the gradient
    Selection remains and continue on the same layer
  10. Open the tube rf-abstract07
  11. Edit - Copy and close
  12. Back to your own work - Edit - Paste into selection
  13. Selections - Deselect all
    Result
  14. Layer palette - Make layer "Masker" actif and
    Magic Wand tool - same settings - click in the right and left area
  15. Material - Background color = #808080 - gradient will adapt
  16. LAYERS - NEW RASTER LAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Flood fill tool - fill the selection with the gradient
    Selection remains and continue to work on the same layer
  18. Open the tube rf-abstract25
  19. Edit - Copy and close
  20. Back to your own work - Edit - Paste into selection
  21. Selections - Deselect all
    Result
  22. Material - Replace gradient with the white color
  23. Layer palette - Make layer "Masker" actif and
    Magic Wand tool -Click in the white area on top
  24. Layers - New Raster layer!!!!
  25. Flood fill tool - fill with gray background color
  26. Layers - New Raster layer
  27. Flood fill tool - fill with white foreground color
  28. Layers - Load/save mask - Load mask from disk and choose
  29. Layers - Merge - Merge group
  30. Selections - Deselect all
  31. Layer palette - make Raster 4 actif and decrease Opacity =60

    Layer palette - make top layer actif
  32. Make Pen tool actif
    Material palette: switch colors- Gray color in front and close background
    Take these settings

    Draw lines and click check mark to apply.
  33. Layer palette - Convert to raster layer
  34. Layer palette - Close bottom layer and layer "Masker"
    Layers - Merge - Merge visible
    Open the closed layers again - make layer "Masker" actif
  35. Magic Wand tool - click in the left rectangle
  36. Layer palette - Make top layer actif and
  37. Layers - New Raster layer!!!!!!
  38. Open the tube fafatube1175-mulher
  39. Make tube layer actif and
    Image - Resize 40% - Smart size
  40. Edit - Copy - close without saving
  41. On your working area - Edit - Paste into selection
  42. Selections - Deselect all
  43. Repeat these steps for the tube at the right (39 -->42)
  44. Open the tube kts_bkf44
  45. Image - Resize - 85%
  46. Edit - Copy and close without saving
  47. On your working area - Edit - Paste into selection
  48. Selection - invert - click Delete button on your keyboard
  49. Selections - Deselect all
  50. Open the tube fafatube1609-mulheres.pspimage
  51. With the tube layer actif - Image - Resize - 95%
  52. Edit - Copy - Close without saving
  53. On your working area - Edit - Paste as new layer en -
    Move tool - drag a little down
    Effects - 3D effects - Drop Shadow
  54. Open the tube from Jet: jet-woman24-februari-2008
  55. With the tube layer actif - Image - Resize - 50%
  56. Edit - Copy - Close without saving
  57. On your working area - Edit - Paste as new layer and
    Move tool - move to the left
    Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow - same settings
  58. Open the tube bloemen: j-s-flower30
  59. With the tube layer actif - Image - Resize - 50%
    and repeat again with 85%
  60. Edit - Copy - Close without saving
  61. On your working area - Edit - Paste as new layer and
    Move tool - move to the right
    Effects - 3D effects - Drop Shadow - same settings
    Result
  62. Selection tool - Custom selection
  63. Flood fill the selection with gray foreground color
  64. Effects - Texture effects - Texture
  65. Selections - Deselect all
  66. Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Extrude
  67. Open the tube 101_wisdom_designs.pspimage
  68. Make a copy with shift D, close the original and proceed with the copy
    With the tube layer actif - Free Hand Selection tool- Selection type "point to point " Tolerance and feather = 0
  69. Make a selection around the "chair" from the lady and click delete on your keyboard
  70. Edit - Copy and close
  71. On your working area - Edit - Paste as new layer
  72. Move tool - Place the tube on the "chair"
  73. Layers - Merge - Merge down
  74. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow - same settings
    Result
  75. Material for the text: Background color = black and foreground color is closed
    Text tool with these settings

    Type your text, or mine
    We are shaped and fashioned by what we love
    Click check mark to apply
    Make the text less high (use the node in the middle and drag it a little to the bottom)
  76. Objects - Align - Horiz center in canvas
  77. Layer palette - Convert to raster layer
  78. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
  79. If all the tubes are well arranged : Selections - Select all
  80. Image - Add borders - Symmetric NOT checked - 20 pixels color gray (#808080)
  81. Selections - invert
  82. Effects - Texture effects - Texture - same settings
  83. Selections - Deselect all
  84. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 1 pixel black
  85. Selections - Select all
  86. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 40 pixels white
  87. Selections - Invert
  88. Effects - Plugins - AP [Innovations] - lines - Silverlining
  89. Selections - Deselect all
  90. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 2 pixels black
  91. Image - Resize - 950 pixels width
  92. Add watermark
  93. File -Save as Give_a_name.jpg
