Walking through the streets

This lesson was written by me, Jille, in the Dutch version of PSP3 on March, the 19th, 2010. I followed my own ideas, any ressemblance with an existing lesson is merely a coincidence. This lesson can be made in others versions as well

Preparation
Install the filter
Extract Selections to your map
Install or minimise the font
Open PSP
Open tubes in the program and minimize
Material
Light color (#fefdfe) for the foreground and darker color ( #d1775a ) for the background

The Lesson

  1. File - New - New white image
  2. Selections - Select All
  3. Open this background: the_wack_twister.jpg
  4. Edit - Copy and minimize again
  5. On your working area - Edit - Paste into Selection
  6. Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - radius 20
  7. Layers - New Raster Layer
  8. Flood fill Tool - fill the layer with the foreground color
  9. Selections - Load/Save Selection- Load Selection from disk
  10. Push Delete on your keyboard
  11. Selections Invert
  12. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
  13. Selections - Modify - Contract with 2
  14. Push Delete on your keyboard
  15. Selections - Select None - Minimize
  16. Open the tube with the frames: 3 Frame N Chain Holder~ReiN.pspimage
  17. Make a copy with Shift D on your keyboard. Close the original and proceed with the copy
  18. Layers - Merge - Merge Visible Layers
  19. Magic Wand Tool with these settings

    Click inside the three frames to select them
  20. Flood fill Tool - filll the frames with the background color
  21. Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel
  22. Selections - Select None
  23. Edit - Copy and Close
  24. On your working area - Edit - Paste as new Layer
  25. Move Tool- Move up a little

  26. Magic Wand Tool - Click inside the frames to select the inner part
  27. Selections - Modify - Expand 2 pixels
  28. Layers - New Raster Layer!!!!!
  29. Maximise the background image the_wack_twister.jpg
  30. Edit - Copy and minimize again
  31. On your working area - Edit - Paste into Selection
  32. Layers - Duplicate
  33. Image - Mirror
  34. Effects - Plugins - AAA Filters - AAA Multi-filter
  35. Layer palette - Activate raster 3 (layer with the empty frames)
  36. Layers - Duplicate
  37. Layer palette - Arrange - Bring to top
  38. Image - Mirror
  39. Layers - Merge - Merge down (the frames and the inside of the frames are on the same layer now)
  40. Effects - Plugins - AAA Filters - AAA Multi-filter
  41. Layer palette - Opacity = 60
  42. Layer palette - Merge Raster 3 and Raster 2 also together
    The Layer palette looks like this - frames on the right and frames on the left are each on one layer

  43. Image - Canvas size
  44. Layer palette: Activate bottom layer
    Magic Wand Tool-click inside the white border
  45. Selections - Modify - Expand with two pixels
  46. Maximise the background image the_wack_twister.jpg
  47. Edit - Copy and close
  48. On your working area - Edit - Paste into Selection - KEEP SELECTION ACTIVE
  49. Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - radius 20
  50. Layer palette - Activate Top Layer (Copie from Raster 3) -click delete on your keyboard
  51. Layer palette - Activate the layer (Raster 2) click delete on your keyboard
  52. Layer palette - Activate the layer (Raster 1) click delete on your keyboard
    Layer palette - Activate Top Layer
  53. Layers - New Raster Layer
  54. Material palette - Change the material from the foreground into gradient Mettalic Steel
  55. Selections - Select All
  56. Selections - Modify - Contract 25 pixels
  57. Effects - 3D Effects- Cutout
  58. And repeat with Vertical and Horizontal = - 5
  59. Selections - Invert
  60. Flood fill the selection with the gradient
  61. Effects - Plugins - AAA Filters - AAA Multi-filter
  62. Selections - Select None
  63. Activate bottom layer again
    Selections - Load/Save Selection- Load Selection from disk
    same settings and load Walking_2
  64. Effects - Texture Effects- Texture - Click OK
  65. Selections - Select None
  66. Open the tube anna.br_mulher_by_r
  67. Edit - Copy - Close the tube
  68. On your working area - Activate Top layer
  69. Edit - Paste as - New Layer
  70. Image - Resize - 87%
  71. Move Tool- Move to the left
  72. Layers - Duplicate
  73. Move the second lady as shown below
  74. Activate the original tube layer
  75. Effects - Plugins - AAA Filters - AAA Multi-filter


    Preparation for the text: Material palette - Background color = #753956

  76. Text Tool with these settings

    Write Walking
  77. Move to its place
  78. Layer palette - convert to Raster layer
  79. Effects - 3D Effects - Drop shadow
  80. Add watermark
  81. Layers - Merge - Merge all Layers (Flatten)
  82. Image - Add Borders - Symmetric checked - 1 pixel black
  83. Image - Resize - to your choice
  84. File - Save As- Give_a_name.jpg
